AutoImport Calculator

This privacy policy applies to the AutoImport Calculator website (“Service”) — a calculator of the total cost of importing a car from the European Union and registering it in Poland. The Service is provided free of charge, on an “as is” basis.

In short: the Service requires no account, never asks for your name, e-mail or VIN, uses no cookies, analytics or ads, and the vehicle data you enter is not stored.

Data Controller

The controller of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is the operator of the Service. Contact: [email protected].

What Data We Process

• Calculator input — vehicle and transaction parameters (e.g. purchase country, price and currency, powertrain, engine capacity, first registration date, mileage, seller and buyer type, transport and other costs, exchange rates). This data does not identify you. It is sent to the Service's server solely to perform the calculation, and the result is returned to your browser. It is not saved in a database or combined with any other information.
• Technical data — with every request your browser sends standard information (IP address, date and time, page URL, browser and OS type). It may be recorded in server logs kept by the hosting provider to keep the Service secure and running (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest). Logs are not used for profiling or identifying users.

Cookies and Browser Storage

The Service does not set cookies or store data in your browser (localStorage, sessionStorage). The language version is determined by the page URL only.

Analytics and Advertising

The Service does not use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), tracking pixels or advertising networks.

NBP Exchange Rates

Exchange rates are fetched by the Service's server from the public API of the National Bank of Poland (api.nbp.pl). No user data or calculator input is sent to NBP — only the currency code and date.

Recipients

We do not sell or share data with third parties. Technical data may be processed by the hosting provider acting on our behalf. Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.

Retention

Calculator input is not kept after the calculation is complete. Server logs are kept for as long as needed for security purposes, usually no longer than 30 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing and to object to it. To exercise these rights, write to the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority — the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl).

Nature of the Results

Calculator results are informational estimates only. They are not tax or legal advice; the final amounts of excise duty, VAT and fees are determined by the competent Polish authorities.

Children

The Service is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their personal data.

Security

Connections to the Service are encrypted (HTTPS). We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data processed.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated. The current version, with its effective date, is always available on this page.
